Budget Report 2026/27

Introduction

Dear all,

This is the first budget presented by the new administrative council of Purathur Grama Panchayat. The council aims to complete ongoing projects and foster comprehensive development across sectors such as agriculture, drinking water supply, tourism, health, and education. We aim to leverage our panchayat's unique landscape to develop tourism and related sectors, thereby increasing per capita income.

Our primary sources of revenue include the State Government's plan funds, Finance Commission grants, allocations for centrally sponsored schemes, own revenue, and the District Panchayat's share. Efforts have been made to prioritize infrastructure development and welfare activities.

It is believed that the budget can provide the necessary impetus for the comprehensive development of Purathur Grama Panchayat's agri-tourism sectors and for the implementation of activities mandated by the Kerala Panchayat Raj rules. Yours,
