Vision and Mission

The official vision and mission of Purathur Grama Panchayat are generally formulated in alignment with the development goals of the Kerala Local Self-Government Department (LSGD). • ·        Ensure sustainable and comprehensive rural development

• ·        Improve the quality of life while preserving the environment of coastal and backwater regions

• ·        Create villages that are self-reliant in education, healthcare, sanitation, and infrastructure

• ·        Expand employment opportunities and income-generating prospects for the youth

🧭 Mission 

• ·         Strengthen drinking water, road, electricity, and sanitation facilities

• ·         Provide support for fisheries, agriculture, and small-scale industries

• ·         Improve educational standards and promote digital literacy

• ·         Strengthen health services (including Primary Health Centres)

• ·         Implement environmental safety measures such as coastal protection and flood control

• ·         Expand women's empowerment and social security schemes
