Citizens have the right to access and obtain copies of any information, facts, records, or documents held by the Local Self-Government Institution—excluding documents that are purely informative in nature regarding administrative, developmental, or regulatory functions. This right is conferred upon citizens under Chapter 25A (Sections 271A, B, and C) of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act (1999) and its associated rules.
